My Perfect Weekend in the Real Positano…
The Rolling Stones wrote ” Midnight Rambler ” here and the first ever bikini was worn in Positano! One of my favourite places in the world to spend a long weekend is Positano, Italy. I have spent a lot of time on the Amalfi Coast and this by far has to be one of the most breathtaking & romantic spots in the world. You don’t need a car or really any high heels as the town is built into amphitheatre like cliffs. The first thing you see is macarooned coloured beautiful buildings all stacked upon each other, beach umbrellas and fishing boats all surrounded by the Tyrrhenian Sea. The people who live here are always welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed & effortlessly chic in a way only the Italians can achieve. Suddenly you fall in love & into the local way of life for a weekend.
FLY: Fly to Naples with friends, rent a convertible and drive round the coast to Positano.
BEAUTIFUL STAY: CASA BUONOCORE
One of my favourite boutique hotels is Casa Buonocore – Seriously chic, understated, private & low key with beautiful bedrooms and views. I love the decor of this place, it is covered with Orchids, Jasmine and Moroccan Lanterns in every room. The bed are amazing too – which is actually quite hard to find in Italian hotels. Surrounded by a Mediterranean garden. As you walk through it the beautiful smell of jasmine & citrus is everywhere. Buonocore is five minutes from the beach.
LUXE STAY: LE SIRENUSE, PALAZZO MURAT, IL SAN PIETRO DI POSITANO
There is always Le Sirenuse, Palazzo Murat, if want a super luxe weekend and by far one of the most breathtaking hotels in the world is Il San Pietro di Positano – The views are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It has its own private beach, accessible by taking an elevator.
HEAD TO THE BEACH: FORNILLO, NERANO , SPIAGGIA GRANDE
LOW KEY: FORNILLO is the beach to go to for low key, cool, AUTHENTIC beach bars & bright orange sunloungers. All you need is your Wayfarers and a bikini and your good to go! Every time we go to Positano we love to hire a boat for the day to visit Capri or Li Galli Island.
DIVING: NERANO BEACH is the best Scuba Diving beach.

DA ADOLFO: Opened in the 60’s by fisherman Giovanni Da Aldofo. You travel to the restaurant on a tiny boat to a beautiful cove. Its very rustic and small, but big on charm and the food. Giambattista Valli used Da Adolfo’s as inspiration for his SS13 collection.
LA CAMBUSA : One of the best beach front Fish Restaurants. My dad loves this place!

– Play Tennis: Tennis Al Settimo Piano, Viale Pasitea, 82, 84017 Positano, Italy
– Best Pizza Place – Constantino & the Brasserie underneath the Hotel Covo Dei Saraceno
– Take a hike watch the sunset and have an early dinner at La Tagliata Grill! Honestly this place is ITALY! The food is amazing. There is no menu ! It feels like your at home with your familia -I love it!
– Best for Dessert (Dolce) – Da Vincenzo by Marcella!
–PATHWAY OF THE GODS – A serious Hike but set in breathtaking natural beauty!
– Take a Spa/Shopping trip to Capri for the day : Quisi Beauty, Via Camerelle, 2 – 80073 Capri (Napoli). Their hydrating facials are amazing!
– Drink Limoncello – The place is famous for it!
