Dream Shabby Chic

I share my bedroom with another person, namely my man, so my bedroom is a long way off from my dream bedroom.  He is not a man who likes girly things or throws or cushions so our bedroom is very minimalistic with teak furniture from Indonesia. The compromise was that I had a ”girls” room, one that wasn’t our spare room or our bedroom that I could decorate exactly how I wanted.

AW13 Trend Alert: Maxi Cardie

Screen shot 2013-08-10 at 11.31.44 I know summer is still here and it’s not really appropriate for me to talk winter knits but it would be rude of me not to share what  fashion insiders already know. . .THE MAXI CARDIE WILL BE BIG.  That means long length cardigans will be the must have item for transition into winter and it really is the longer the better.  So don’t be in a rush to buy your winter jacket because it really will be about layering long length knits as outerwear (at least until they prove useless against the predicted cold winter).

So if you are twitching, just a little, to buy things under the NEW COLLECTION sign do make sure it’s one (or two) of these.
